The Middle East has been a target market for many Scottish companies in recent years. Many of those that have enjoyed success there have benefited from the advice of GlobalScots based in the market.

The 2011 GlobalScot Middle East Connect Event offers a unique opportunity for the meeting of minds of some of the region's leading business people and Scotland's most exciting growth companies.

The event will take place on February 28^th, at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel, with the theme of 'The Middle East - Still a Land of Promise'

Building on the success of the inaugural GlobalScot Connect Event in New York in November, this event will be an opportunity to promote the message that, despite the recent economic downturn, the Middle East is very much still open for business and that there are still great opportunities for Scottish companies in this market.

The event will feature sessions on the opportunities arising from Qatar's acquisition of the World Cup tournament in 2022, as well as the chance to hear from a panel of experts from all sectors talking about setting up and doing business in the Middle East. In addition to all of this, we will focus on connecting you with the people who can help accelerate your business growth by facilitating pre-arranged 1-2-1 meetings.

Background

As with all previous GlobalScot events, the aim of this conference is to facilitate new connections and introductions between Scotland's most exciting and ambitious companies and its international GlobalScot community.
