A Celebration of Confidence, Creativity and Leadership

Saturday 30th July, 2011 - The Lighthouse, Glasgow provided the backdrop for the Saltire Fellowship graduation. Family and friends joined the graduating class to celebrate their achievements.
Peter Lederer, Chairman, Saltire Foundation, presented the Fellows with their awards. "Congratulations to you all. Scotland is proud of you and looks to you for your confidence, creativity and leadership".
The Fellowship is designed to create a global mindset, high aspirations and ambition within our next generation of leaders. "These characteristics are personified in the Fellows and their outstanding achievements will be announced over the coming months" Sandy Kennedy, CEO, Saltire Foundation.
During the programme, the Fellows experienced a world-class entrepreneurial education at Babson College. "Business at Babson has an incredibly human aspect: various personalities graced our classrooms with a stunning combination of intellect and humility" Joanne Hagerty, Saltire Fellow.
The Fellows also undertook externships (executive contracts) within global organisations such as IBM and Veolia, as well as high growth Scottish organisations such as Sword Ciboodle and Sistemic.
"The externship at Sistemic gave me a great opportunity to develop and execute a marketing and communication programme in a small high growth company, where my work mattered directly to its success" Fahd Baig, Saltire Fellow.
"Although we have finished the Fellowship, giving back to Scotland remains a key driver for us all. I have developed the skills and global networks and my goal is to lead ambitious Scottish companies to new markets" Bec Ewing, Saltire Fellow.
