Scotland's food and drink trade is tapping into the influential GlobalScot network to boost overseas sales.
Guy Crawford, Chief Executive of Jumeirah Group and Robert Mitchell, General Manager of JM Foods attended the Scotland Food and Drink Excellence Awards Ceremony held at the Benromach Distillery in Forres last week. Scotland based GlobalScot, David Farquhar (Partner, Pivot Capital) also attended the event. GlobalScots are increasingly keen to support the Scottish food and drink industry as a whole as well as individual food and drink companies.
Edinburgh-based brewer Innis & Gunn swept the board winning four awards including the prestigious Business of the Year award, International Business of the Year, Drink - Alcoholic and Non-Alcoholic category and Product Innovation category for its Oak Aged Beers.
Following the awards, Guy Crawford and Robert Mitchell held a session on 'Doing Business in the UAE' and spent time with a group of 12 representatives from Scottish food and drink companies.
