Gordon Boyle, Chief Executive, Bahrain Maritime and Mercantile
Gordon Boyle was appointed Chief Executive of Bahrain Maritime and Mercantile International (BMMI) in 2003 following more than 20 years in the food and drink sales and distribution industry.
Previously, Gordon held several senior management positions including with Associated British Foods, Almarai Dairy (the largest dairy company in the Middle East) and the Savola Food Group in Saudi Arabia.
Major contracts won, as a result of Gordon’s strategy and leadership, have included the supply of food products to UK Government institutions, and the British and the United States Armed Forces, as well as Middle Eastern regional armed forces and governmental institutions.

Steve Dawson, CEO, Walkers Shortbread Inc., USA
Steve is currently CEO of US division of privately owned Scottish premium cookie manufacturer- Walkers Shortbread.
Steve’s previous roles have included, Managing Director and owner of consultancy providing strategy development and marketing services to premium food and beverage businesses in the US and Canada. Clients included Unilever, United Biscuits, Hormel, Greencore, Walker Shortbread, and Twinings. Projects included acquisition and joint venture searches.
Steve also worked for Keebler in an LBO environment, revamped the Carr’s Crackers & Cookies product line (package design and pricing), tested new consumer marketing programs and successfully launched several new products.
