What do you need to do next?

We hope you like the new website, the team have worked hard to incorporate feedback from the network, and we're confident that the new site is a big step forward. Importantly, it will only be as useful as the information it holds.

The public area of the site has been designed to better inform both GlobalScots and Scottish companies of the real and tangible difference the network is making - we would encourage you to add the site to your favourites and visit regularly so you can keep updated on news, events and opportunities. These efforts are focussed on creating greater demand for GlobalScot members, something many members have told us they would like to see happen.

The private area of the site is for GlobalScots and registered Scottish companies . It encourages greater access and should facilitate more regular exchanges between all users. As a GlobalScot, our ask is that you simply take 10-15 minutes to update your profile on the site. To do this please take the following steps:

1. Login using your existing username and password. If you need a reminder please select: Request a Password Reminder.

2. Once logged in you will arrive at your Private Profile page. Please upload a photograph via Change Avatar and once completed select Edit Profile.

3. Please complete your profile fully. The information requested has been carefully considered and will help Scottish companies identify those members that may be able to support their growth ambitions.

4. Please review the biography field carefully. We have tried where possible to migrate data from the old site. The new website allows a maximum of 1000 characters in the biography field to ensure greater consistency in what we present to users.

5. Once completed please submit. To review what other members and Scottish companies will see of your profile select View Public Profile.

We will in the near future provide additional guidance on the new functionalities offered by the website. For the time being however, we would greatly appreciate it if you could support our plans to improve the effectiveness of the website by taking a few minutes to complete the steps highlighted above. The site will be launched to Scottish companies next week.
